Zulifiqar Mirza - a CURSE on Sindh

When a country have parliamentarians the likes of Mr. Mirza, it doesn't need foreign enemies. Why talk of a nuclear threat from India or Israel, Why be preoccupied with "strategic depth" in case of an attack from India, why be concerned about the ubiquitous "third-hand' trying to rock Pakistan when we have mavericks like MIRZA!

The fiery remarks, the spewing of hatred, the igniting blame-game, the veiled threats delivered by Mirza last night and telecasted by all TV channels have brought naked anger to the already strained city. Once again the situation or "halat" in the city are bad - meaning there is random unceasing firing in sensitive areas, tire and bus burning incidents, innocent people being killed, and the city going in hiding watching what will transpire next.

Mirza made irresponsible and irreverent remarks against the MQM (Altaf Group) going as far as calling the MQM cheif Altaf Hussain a "100 times bigger criminal than Afaq Ahmed" jailed leader of a break away faction of MQM (Haqiqi.) He also said " the province of Sindh was there for a long time and gave protection to people from India at the time of partition in 1947, and any division of Sindh by these migrants will take place on his dead body" hmmmmm..... Interesting....

What was the state of MIrza's mind when he uttered these provoking comments knowing well the unstable calm and fear prevalant in the city after a week of havoc that left more than 100 killed. In a city, where people are daggers drawn against each other, they are groups on the street out killing people of other ethnic origins, where there isn't a compunction in burning houses and cars and buses - what made Mirza make these calls for violence all over again, for that is what they are. It is reported that Mr, Agha Siraj Durrani tried to literally drag and pull Mirza off the stage and did so eventually while the latter was going on and on! Was Mr. Mirza under the influence of something? in plain speak - was the man drunk? Mirza has a history of making violent and abusive statements and that is the reason he was sent on 'forced leave' out of this country, why and under what wisdom has he been called back? A few days back a belligerent Rehman Malik our Interior Minister was all out defending Mirza going as far as saying that he was still the province's Home Minister!!

Who has asked this venomous hater of Pakistan to come back to this country, no, who has allowed him to return? And now the back-track policy of the PPP leaders trying to distance themselves form his speech of hate. I think, Mirza is a fool and is being used as such by the PPP. He is made to say things that the leadership wants to be said - veiled and hidden threats - a kind of "you dare" message to the MQM to behave itself and again to assert its ownership of Sindh. Mirza being Mirza falls into the trap, says stupid things and then the party leadership condemns him! We are stupid, Mr. Malik, and Mr. AZ, but we aren't dumb!

So what do we do NOW? What is the best way to deal with people like Mirza - who is directly responsible for the death of over 10 people since last night, and bringing the temperatures high in the city leaving it again burning and deserted. Mirza is a clear and present danger to public peace and to the stability of this country, his remarks are treasonous and seditious - he talks of igniting ethnic violence and stokes hatred amongst people. He is Public Enemy No.1 and must be arrested and incarcerated at once! before his libelous remarks result in more deaths in this city of DEATH!

MY ONLY PLEA BEING GO AWAY MIRZA AND NEVER BE SEEN OR HEARD OF AGAIN!
