AND NOW THIS!

Having put our feet in our mouths!! yes with Mr. Davis being released on payment of diyat we must celebrate for the upholding and implementation of the Islamic Sharia. But I see no jubilation, no victory songs being sung, how come?? its because we don't really want what is right, or what is necessarily Islamic, but abuse of laws and injunctions for other motives, and of course, we also don't think through the misuse of so called Islamic laws. Time for a re-think???


The ever bubbling Raja Riaz of the Punjab legislature saying that we need to send a Tahir Qadri to fix Mr.Wayne of Florida fame for burning the Holy Quran! since when did two wrongs make a right. And also why can't our parliamentarians keep their mouths shut and not confirm the odious fact that they are stupid fools! And a nation being proud of a murderer is a dangerous thing indeed, and leaders sharing this danger? is sheer lunacy!!!!


The high pitched tension of the Indo/Pak cricket match on Wednesday. UFFFFF, its tiring me out! Its being called a war, the match of the century and what not. Relax, its only a game, why don't we get this excited and worked about other things as well like the state of things around us.


I'm back to writing this after a two day gap and Lo and Behold, they've gone and done the impossible, the unthinkable and yes the unacceptable - our beloved team has lost the match of the century and that too to India! Now, we all will spew venom on this unfortunate team so God help Shahid Afridi and his troupe. Why are we so fickle in our loyalties? why can't we gracefully take a defeat? and above all why can't we show sportsman spirit and congratulate the winning team for playing well. NOOO that is un patriotic, that is not on, we must be on war-path whenever there is Indian team to be played against and that goes to show our own insecurities. We as a nation hasn't accepted the 1971 defeat, no complete annihilation, loss of half our territory at the hands of India years on, we have supposedly 'won' all the wars fought with India (so far 3) we believe we have the better army though the self same army hasn't done much more than gather the spoils of war, rape, pillage and murder its own people in east Pakistan. We are highly deluded people living in some sort of Lala land and every time we are jostled into reality we are ready to scream and scratch murder or the best defense "foul play' This country and its people need more defeats to get in touch with reality and see things in perspective! and, last but not the least Good going India!


The golliwog faced interior minister has declared that all and mind you all the people involved in BB's murder have been named and are apprehended! wow!! the mystery is thus solved! what an achievement. So why isn't the nation being made privy to this info??? and what is being done to punish the culprits??? and if Musharaf is a party to the murder why is he not in Pakistan and undergoing trial? aaahhhhh!!! that elusive and most convenient of all things No Extradition treaty with the UK! thats whats keeping Mr. Altaf Hussain all cushy and safe and sound on the isle.


Lipstick attack in the Punjab Assembly! Yes, if for those the entertainment provided by our so called leaders isn't colored and lurid enough this one should top the cake!!! The lady MPAs being accused of spending their allowances on makeup by the treasury members. OK so far so good! but lipstick and shadow being hurled at the offenders is an all time low even for the lowest of lows in Pakistan - our legislators and the assemblies!!!!
