Are we women supposed to feel happy and satisfied, and vindicated? By designating a day for women of the world, is the world declaring it's sheer inability to do anything substantial to elevate the status of women in society in general? Are we supposed to feel very thankful and obliged to the men of this male-dominated world for letting us have a day to celebrate the rights that we don't have? to actually think and pause over how little has been done in the past couple of centuries for women in fact? or to feel complacent and all obliged for the world to remember us for flat five minutes and that too by hosting useless seminars and workshops, by publishing special editions on trite topics of women empowerment (an oxymoron, if ever there was one.)

The paper is full of articles heaping accolades on what women have achieved so far, totally nauseating! why can't we see for once that in reality on the ground not much has changed for us...In the 21st century marriage still remains the 'major career' move as in the 19th century, that there are women still married to men for whom polygamy isn't a problem in the least, that harems of the East still exist enslaving women, subjugating them to their men who hold the reins of their lives, while the harem of the west imprison women in mental prisons of 'having to have the right body', the right lifestyle, the right number of children and so on.

Women around me are depressed, feel wasted, over burdened and unappreciated because women around me have still left the keys of their happiness and their lives to their husbands and other male figures. I see women being used by their significant others such as their husbands and eventually children and at the end of it all are left alone and lonely.

My question is why isn't there an International Men's Day? why ever not? is it perhaps because the powers that be don't think it necessary to assert the obvious? that men are all powerful? and women like the poor, and children have a minor status?

I think instead of a day we women need to fend for ourselves in our own lives, and the only way that can be done is through education. We need to educate ourselves, and by that I mean we need to gain wisdom and the first step is to accept that we know nothing.. and from there take on a journey literally to study and read, and listen to people who have wisdom. The problem with most women now is that they think they know too much, and once they reach a certain age or position fail to chisel their mind - the result is boring, awfully pompous and smug middle aged women who are simply stupid!

Sorry for the lecture, but this women's day thing really irks me! the hell with silly gestures like these...and now to good things. Had lunch at Butler's which was lovely and of course had a meeting with Musti's teachers hmmmm, every one of them had the same issue with him 'he talks too much and that too during class!' so he got a dressing down from me, but does that make a dent on him? doubt it very much.

I went for a walk in the park again ufff, the women there! they irritate the hell out of me, but more on that later, I love the fresh air and green grass, I'm glad I'm doing this it just clears my mind of all fog and clutter and I come become all glowy and brand new.

And, how could I almost forget to mention that I finished watching the serial 'Mera Saeein' uffffffffffff! a hundred times, my hatred for men have found new fuel, the man has done justice to his role, you actually begin to hate him. How ironical that I finish the series on this auspicious day (ya?) and celebrate the final dismissal to oblivion of this tyrant. This happens in our society, this obsession with having a male heir, this complete disregard of the rights of women, this blatant womanising on part of men and their sheer intolerance of women who have any contacts with males. Such double standards, such hypocrisy. it's disgusting, and yet there are women falling for these kind of ass holes. The tragedy of it all.

P.S Ooops! they actually have one! November 19th? huh (I told you women are stupid)
