We may know some people, but, may not have met them in the traditional sense of the word. In this day and age of internet, long-distance phones, skype, global business transactions and personal interactions, such paradoxes of knowing someone, and yet not knowing them is very much a possibility.
And, if one fine day one is called to meet in person such a person, one is perplexed to say the least. How do we initially meet a person whom we may know and not know, we know what that person may think like, but not be acquainted with his physical presence?
It is awkward. It is simply scary. To be brought face to face with a face which is totally unfamiliar and strange, and yet be able to know how and what the owner of the face is thinking if only to a certain extent is uncanny, a bit like having a premonition of the what's going to happen, a slight clairvoyance of what's to come, an inkling into the mind of another person who in all senses of the word is a stranger!
Meeting people for the first time is always awkward, it's kind of a guarded attempt to feel the aura of the other. You may know a person in some meaning of the term and yet be completely unaware of the energy of that person emmitting from him, perchance, negative or positive!
