The keeper of our sinned souls, the harbinger of good tidings, the chalice of religion brought to us by the high-tech TV transmissions is the ubiquitous Amir Liaqat! Errr....lest I am confused (for I am a simpleton) please explain to me the true person that is him, that is AL? Is he a scholar of Islam? Is he a TV evangelist? Is he a singer? Is he a chef? Is he Mr.Problem-solver (DIY kind) or is he the malicious low-life abuser and malinger that has been exposed on You Tube?
It is quite obvious. I mean my dislike for the gentleman (if he qualifies for the epithet) is quite transparent, and I feel no need to hide the same for the worst of sins is HYPOCRISY as far as I am concerned. How can a man pose to be this mild, emphatic, kind soul, waxing lyrical about the Quran and hadith, and trying to be a leader of religion leading his flock to redemption and on to the true path, be the same man, who was caught drunk in a compromising situation with a prostitute in his car with blackened glasses! This very public humiliation earned him the "kick-out" status from the MQM of which he was a high profile leader and at that time if I am not mistaken Minister of religious affairs in Sindh. But, some people have truly very thick skin and nothing shames them for he is there on every TV channel giving out lectures on Islam and everything holy that he himself does not abide by! But, then why curse him? he is merely a smart and shrewd business man out to make money and doing it very successfully. What actually surprises me is the gullibility of our people!!! I mean are we OK in the brains???? Apparently not! for why would we want to listen to this character ever again after that fiasco and now the exposure of his sweet-language off camera as splashed on YOU Tube!
But, then I am thinking form an obtuse point of view! I am assuming, taking for granted that we are sane and rational people, that amidst the din of madness we do possess a grain of logic to think and choose correctly for ourselves! HEEEELLLLLL NO!!!!!! no such luck in this country of ours. We are crazy and loony beyond help and repair and hence we have the same sordid, lecher coming on every evening gracing quite a few TV channels broadcasting himself in every other household telling us how to live our lives in ways that he doesn't live his! But then the 'questioning' ability does not exist in Pakistani breed, we just seep in everything without discretion and without any query. We prefer people who are complaisant, honey-mouthed, smooth-taking, sycophants to hard-talking realists who live as they preach.
The other day I was flabbergasted when I saw him cooking some shit on a TV show, and also having a tete a tete with Behroze Subswari (another pain in the neck sans talent of any sort) and in the midst of the high flying discussion giving out tips on how to remove tea stains from tea cups!!!!!!!!!!!!yes! and calling these tips with the grave title of AMARI NUSQHAYE!!!!???? WHAT??? YES! EXACTLY MY REACTION! NEED I SAY MORE!
