Who really knows? What if actual 'living' only starts after we 'die' in this transitory world? What if that is real life and right now we are all dead? What of this is inverse? I mean not only in religious sense but factually as we understand life and death. For according to our Islamic injunctions about life after death isn't that what we believe in some form?
Keeping religion and religious concepts and beliefs out of the discussion if scientifically we come to know that what we call life and our sojourn on this planet Earth, is nothing but death or a waiting to be born by dying. What if once we die we are born into our real lives that we will live into Eternity? There have been various weird views put up about what this reality is or rather what all it could be... some people have said that this whole world is a figment of someone's mind their imagination? or it could be virtual realty in a computer game? Or, a dream of some ogre?
So what and how can we tell whether we are alive in the true sense of the word and those who have died here have actually died? Isn't the prospect a bit unnerving? To me it is for it turtles everything we know and do. If we are in a state of not being then whatever we do doesn't really matter or count and therefore should have no consequences???
