I believe we all have a werewolf embedded in us. We are all in a way mutants, wolverines, X-men or what have you. A part of our self, that we call nature for lack of any other word, is demonic, is held at the reins by a wolf-like creature, who is instinctive, primal, prehistoric, and inexplicable. To call it Evil would be to simplify it and show it complacency. It is beyond Evil and Bad. It is the potential to be Evil and Bad.
The 'watery star' rules our darker side just as it pulls and pushes tons of water in the oceans, so does it exert pressure on liquid blood running within us, it alters our moods, it plays havoc with our passions, and rules our tempers. Is this the stuff of legends and myths? well so be it, for they are but remote reality hinting at the truth that is possibly too stark and cruel and naked for us to accept.
The wolf in us is keen on a scent, is curious and inquisitive, it wants to know for knowledge becomes power. It seeks control, influence over other wolves and marks its territory which is then guarded at all costs. The wolf in us is a predator, and if we look deeply around us we all are carnivores and keep watch for prey! we feed on the weaknesses of others, maul and maim others in all arenas of life and call the gloating over the win as healthy competition. We crush others in the race to live, maybe not in a traditional jungle but in newer modern ones of corporate kinds, in schools and colleges, in Universities, in countries and so on. We are always hungry for more and more just like a wolf.
The bitchiness in us is also a part of that lunacy, the madness that is jealous of others always, that is possessive for no reason, that is proprietary and all things selfish because at some innate and unknown level that is the only means to survive. The other must give way for us to exist. In millions of years that man has evolved from beasts, many animal traits haven't extinguished, in fact if we look at recent history of man's inhumanity to man, it seems to increase, this animosity, this lunar tendency towards the dark and forbidden.
Are we now, evolving into wolves?
